“The Economics of IT – Cost and Benefits of Integrated Systems”

It’s no secret that IT departments in companies of all sizes and industries have to increasingly work with lower budgets while still being expected to deliver innovative ways to track, analyze and store growing amounts of data. The stress of this challenge is forcing many companies to fall behind schedule on the delivery of projects – 2/3 of corporate IT projects are delivered over budget and behind schedule. One of the primary challenges facing companies globally is the need to spend an average of 70 percent of IT budgets on simple operations and maintenance for these initiatives. When only one in five corporate IT departments are able to spend the majority of their IT budget on innovation, it’s clear that a major shift in IT investment and prioritization is needed – as well as a radical simplification of the solutions involved in business operations.
