Discuss the benefits of delivering solutions as patterns of expertise on expert integrated systems
Last week, we held a Tweet Chat with a topic that revolved around how “Expert Integrated Systems can accelerate the adoption of Cloud.” Please check out our recap of the event that features the chat questions and top participant answers.
This week we will be hosting our final Tweet Chat in July and will focus on “Expert Integrated Systems and Patterns of Expertise.” Our chat will be moderated by Charles King, Pund-IT’s president and principal analyst and will take place on Thursday, July 26 from 1:00-2:00 pm EDT (5-6pm GMT).
According to IDC, on average, more than “70% of IT budgets are being spent on [the] operations and maintenance” of the systems and solutions that are already deployed. This leaves what remains in the budget to deliver new, innovative solutions that move the business forward. A fair question to ask is “why is this the case?” Most would agree that IT is complicated simply because there are so many “moving parts” and many interdependencies, which all contribute to this current state of affairs, but it doesn’t have to be that way.
During our chat we will discuss how expert integrated systems can change this equation for IT by coming from the factory with built in expertise and proven best practices for the complex, time consuming and costly tasks of setting up, operating and maintaining solutions learned from decades of client and partner engagements.
Referred to as “Patterns of Expertise,” not only do expert integrated systems come with this expertise, but additionally, ISVs and solution providers can package and deliver their solutions as patterns on top of these systems delivering a better experience for their clients, and themselves. Want to learn more? Here’s a sampling of questions that will be addressed during the chat:
- How can expert integrated systems and patterns of expertise help to shift IT budget from “keeping the lights on” to innovation?
- How can ISVs and solution providers use expert integrated systems and patterns of expertise to eliminate or simplify the steps to deploy and maintain their solutions by their clients?
- What benefits can ISVs or solution providers expect to reap by delivering their solutions as patterns of expertise on expert integrated systems?
